Kidnap & Ransom Insurance
K&R reimburses the insured firm for the cost of ransom paid to kidnappers of one of its employees.  Policy can also provide medical and life insurance benefits to the employee held for ransom. Coverage may not be available in all countries where employees travel.

 

Maritime Employers Liability Coverage

Jones Act Coverage’s

Coverage is for the Federal Benefit Law that applies to the Captain and Crew of vessels operating in navigable water-ways, or located in dry docks, territorial waters and any adjoining pier, wharf, terminal building way, marine railway or other adjoining areas customarily used in the loading, unloading, repair, dismantling or building a vessel.  Coverage may be written by endorsement to a Workers' Compensation Policy or provided by a policy covering marine liability for the insured vessel.


U.S. Longshoremen’s & Harbor Workers

Coverage is for the Federal Benefit Law that applies to workers engaged in Longshoremen’s operations, including harbor workers, ship repairmen, shipbuilders; and construction workers/employees performing work on docks, wharfs, piers, and areas contiguous to navigable waterways.


Defense Base Act Coverage

Coverage is an extension of the U.S. Longshoreman’s & Harbor Worker’s Compensation Act to employees of American contractors and sub-contractors performing public works projects outside the continental United States of America. Coverage applies to civilians working on military bases and overseas construction projects for the US government.


Railroad Protective Liability
Coverage is purchased on behalf of a Railroad Company by an employer working on or near railroad tracks.  General Liability Policies exclude coverage for occurrences on or within 50 feet of railroad right-of-way.


Travel & Accident Insurance
Policy provides death and dismemberment benefits to employees while traveling on business.
