Summary

In this role you will be responsible for managing the overall relationship with a group of assigned clients of the Retirement Services practice.  You will leverage the collective team resources to provide superior strategic and tactical support.  You will also serve an important role in securing new clients through activities integral to the new business development process. This is a great opportunity for a Retirement professional who enjoys a fast-paced and collaborative culture!

 

Responsibilities

  • Apply broad industry knowledge in order to service existing clients and land new clients
  • Manage ongoing service requirements of multiple clients
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of Retirement plans including design features, service providers, costs, investment performance, compliance and participant behavior, etc.
  • Assimilate industry and competitor benchmarking data and analyze plan design in order to develop objective recommendations that best fit the client’s objectives
  • Engage in RFP activities to effectively plan, assess and make recommendations including; provider selection, investment strategy & development and plan conversion
  • Provide on-going/customized advisory service and support; problem resolution, plan design review, investment strategy, education, regulatory and legislative updates, etc.
  • Act as liaison between client and retirement plan service providers to achieve optimal results
  • Conduct presentations/periodic meetings with respective clients’ senior leadership teams
  • Become well-versed in all of the Bostonian Group’s practices in order to articulate our services and value proposition to prospective clients and recruits

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years industry/applicable experience with bachelor’s degree and strong technical expertise in retirement plan design/administration including strong 403(b) knowledge
  • Demonstrates ability to apply and expand broad industry knowledge in order to effectively service and advise existing and future clients
  • Excellent communication skills, including advanced writing and presentation skills
  • CEBS or AIF® Certification or equivalent experience preferred
  • NASD Series 6 or 7 and 63, 65 or 66 licensure preferred
  • LAH Licensure or commitment to achieving within 12 months of start date
  • Strong industry knowledge including market providers, trends, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Morningstar Principia
